Any day now. My doc likes baby boys to get to 38 weeks, and we're there. I feel like I'm all belly, and moving in general has gotten difficult. My feet are all kinds of swollen and I can't stand for more than a few minutes without them seriously hurting. So, yeah, we're right at the end.

As promised, I'm taking a page out of my rad homie Cris from Kiss My Tulle‘s book (who took a page from Little Baby Garvin) and will do my damndest to post weekly updates … because someone out there might give a shit and want to know what's going on with this whole thing.

How far along? 38 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: My appointment this morning clocked me at 171.4, so about 27 lbs.
Maternity clothes? These tanks from Target and shorts, pretty much always. I am also pretty much exclusively living in these nursing bras, (because I just can't with underwire anymore) and #MFE's boxers. It's a struggle for me to even think about real clothes. Please don't make me.
Stretch marks? Yup.
Sleep: It's either super deep and frequently interrupted by bathroom breaks (or I'll wake up in a puddle of drool or wake myself up snoring), or it's virtually nonexistent.
Best moment this week: I managed to figure out a part of a DIY project I'm working on for The Broke-Ass Bride in conjunction with Cricut that has been plaguing me. Tiny victories!
Miss Anything? Being comfortable in my body.
Movement: It's the Ribcage Olympics up in here.
Food cravings: Topo Chico is my number one, always. My appetite has waned a bit — but I've been consistently wanting smoothies, Diet Coke and cookies and cream ice cream.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, this week's been free and clear.
Gender: Still a dude.
Labor Signs: More Braxton-Hicks contractions and some pelvic pressure and pain, but nothing beyond that.
Belly Button in or out? It's kind of a halfie.
Wedding rings on or off? On … my pinkie finger. Between the constant hand pain and the swelling, it's too hard to battle keeping it on my ring finger, but it's sitting pretty securely on my pinkie.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Generally happy, I guess. I don't know, it's not like I've been over the moon — we've been so busy and I'm generally so tired, that it doesn't even register if I'm one way or the other.
Looking forward to: Weekend friend time (that we postponed from last week), spending more than a few hours with my husband and starting maternity leave on Monday.

As mentioned, I'm starting leave on Monday, and I'm having a hard time with it mentally — switching my brain out of constant work mode is really tough for me. It'll be hard to not sit on my email all day — though I'll still be doing some behind-the-scenes stuff to shore up the editorial calendar after #babything is born.
