As much as traveling for business is always great and I so loved my suite that ShareASale put me up in at ThinkTank, it's always nice to be back in my own bed with my husband and kitties (and with my Snoogle). I've had a whole heap of emails to catch up on and a list of shit to do to grow my business(es), and it's a little stressful trying to make sure I get myself set up for the time off I know is coming. But, I'm getting there. I had my one-hour glucose test last week and it wasn't until Tuesday that I realized I never heard from the doctor. While I figured no news is good news, I wanted to err on the side of caution and was nonetheless relieved when I called yesterday and they said I passed the test and everything looked great.
As promised, I'm taking a page out of my rad homie Cris from Kiss My Tulle's book (who took a page from Little Baby Garvin) and will do my damndest to post weekly updates ... because someone out there might give a shit and want to know what's going on with this whole thing.
How far along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Over 157.2, but not sure how much.
Maternity clothes? Yes, but also T-shirt dresses and regular T-shirts with leggings.
Stretch marks? After some inspecting the other day, we could swear we saw the beginnings of some, but not like super obviously.
Sleep: So-so. I'm happy to be home in my own bed.
Best moment this week: Nailing my keynote at ThinkTank. Passing my one-hour glucose test.
Miss Anything? Being comfortable.
Movement: Homeboy was putting on a rave this week. Especially when I was flying -- as soon as we hit cruising altitude, he busted out some serious moves.
Food cravings: Sparkling water. Pizza.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Tomato-based stuff hasn't been sitting well. I had some pasta that just wasn't congruent with the little guy.
Gender: Still a dude.
Labor Signs: Hell no. Thank goodness.
Belly Button in or out? In, but it's getting smaller.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Pretty happy, but the occasional rage monster rears its head.
Looking forward to: My baby shower with friends this weekend. The weekend in general.
I had a great time at ThinkTank and Performance Marketing Summit, but getting back to Denton was a bitch. There was a chick at the airport who asked me how far along and then said "Six months? Really? Twins? No? Oh, my sister is six months and she's barely even showing!" Fuck you, chick. Plus my flight was delayed twice and my boots wouldn't fit in my suitcase, so I had to stuff my blimp-size feet into them and was super uncomfortable. But I did get to watch the first half of "Deadpool" on the plane, so there's that.
